The House of Wool offers both group and individual workshops in knitting and crochet techniques, spinning and weaving for all skill levels.

We present a variety of group workshops in knitting techniques - cables and knitting in the round, lace knitting, toe-up sock knitting, cast-on/cast-off techniques, and top-down knitting, as well as private lessons for beginners. If you have a particular technique that you would like to master, call us and we will arrange a workshop for you.

Crochet workshops for beginners offer a choice of learning several stitches with a granny square pattern or a hat project. We will teach you how to read the written and charted pattern to equip you with the skills to advance to more complex projects.

Spinning workshops are run over two-hour blocks, or as whole-day events, and cater to beginners and more advanced spinners. Wheels are available for use in the workshops.

Rigid Heddle Loom weaving is run as a whole day event and takes you from warping and dressing the loom, to techniques for finishing your project.

Workshops can be booked through our website, and private lessons can be arranged by phone or email, or in person by visiting us in-store. follow us on Instagram and Facebook for current dates.
